This marketing intern will be working on iD Cloud, a software suite designed to assist retailers with inventory management, loss prevention, and supply chain.

This is a temporary, part time internship. Non-exempt, around 16-24 hours a week, depending on what works for the right candidate. Compensation based on experience.

Role Expectations

We are looking for a Marketing Intern to support our demand generation initiatives within the North American market. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing one or more social media accounts for our business. Your duties include creating and updating social media posting schedules, replying to comments from subscribers or liking tagged photos and coordinating with our team to determine how best to market our Nedap brand, products or services in our region using social media. You will be an active collaborator with our product, sales, and marketing team to ensure website content and design aligns with our sales goals. You will be responsible for monitoring trending hashtags and topics while finding unique ways to integrate them into our brand.

The ideal candidate will have experience administering social platforms, searches and target campaigns as well as promoting and publicizing physical and virtual events. You will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with the planning, organization and execution of brand campaigns to promote and grow our online presence with our target audience.

We need support with social media, email, content creation, and events. This marketing intern will be responsible for writing and designing content for social media, particularly LinkedIn. This person should be comfortable, monitoring mentions, responding to comments, and should have an understanding of LinkedIn best practices. We already have a content plan and strategy, but we’re always open to new ideas. Your opinions will matter.

The marketing intern will also assist with email development, specifically, copywriting and design. Event related responsibilities might include researching vendors and ideation.

 Your Team

The marketing intern will be working in an enthusiastic team of international business professionals and specialists. We can’t wait to share our knowledge and learn from this intern in return. On a daily basis the marketing intern will work closely with the US team and the Marketing team that sits in The Netherlands.

In addition to the above activities and responsibilities, the marketing intern will perform other duties assigned by their direct manager, the Marketing Manager for iD Cloud North America.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing representatives to understand product and communication needs
  • Create content for social media
  • Write and draft marketing emails
  • Use the company’s online tools and follow best-practices
  • Encourage greater social media participation
  • Identify opportunities to influence public perception through audience engagement
  • Present design ideas and recommendations to marketing manager
  • Prepare content for trade shows and market outreach
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exercise adaptability, creativity and critical thinking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Social Media platforms, CRM, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends.
  • Understanding and exposure of the retail industry is preferred.

Education & Experience

  • Currently working on Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • Examples of relevant previous projects highly preferred. This can be screenshots from candidates personal social media account or school projects.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Possible domestic travel 10-25% or as needed.
  • Geographical located in the greater Boston area in proximity of our Burlington Office location for in person office collaboration or team events.
  • Must hold a valid US driver’s license and be eligible for US employment
